HardAss Water Conditioning  TM 

is an installation and service based company. Below is a basic list of services with descriptions and prices. We install and repair all major store brands such as: G.E., Kenmore, and Whirlpool, as well as common dealer brands such as: Clack, Autotrol and Fleck. For information on equipment available from HardAss Water Conditioning, please visit our water softener info page. In most cases you can get a quality softener, professionally installed (sometimes as soon as the next day), for under $1000.

Install Policy:

With all of our installations, HardAss Water Conditioning takes pride in the fact that all of our work looks as good as it operates. Before we begin a job, you will know all costs and aesthetics involved. No hidden surprises at the end!

*Looking for a free water test?

 Stop it. Our company knows that with the water in North Florida, you have hard water. We don't need to send a salesperson to your house to "test your water". In cases of houses with well water, testing is useful because of the differences in water quality between them. Other than that, the "free water test" is mainly for the purpose of getting a salesperson into your house for face-to-face pressure.

Water Softener Services

 Service & Repair:  

  We are experienced with repairing and can diagnose a wide variety of softeners and other water treatment equipment.   A service call is $69 + parts and if we can't repair it, you don't pay for the call.* Just visit the about/contact us page to request service online or call our office at (904)379-4067.

(*If equipment is repairable and customer opts not to repair, customer is subject to a $35 trip fee)

Unsure if you need a service call or do you just want to have your system checked out?

For only $35 we can come out and inspect your equipment to ensure it's operating properly and also answer any questions you have about the system.*

* If repairs are needed and requested by the customer during the trip, we do not add the service call on top of the $35 fee. We simply change the $35 fee to the $69 service call fee.  

Replacement of a softener:

Includes disconnection of old unit, and installation of new unit in the same place. Discarded unit will be placed on curb. Replacement charge is

$150.00

Builders Loop Set-up:

 A builders loop set-up is mainly done pre-construction. It includes the three components needed to install your softener. The main waterline, the drain, and a plug will all be in the place where the softener is to be installed. A Loop charge is $150.00

Extra charge may apply if any one of the three components is not present! Softeners purchased through online companies (excluding HardAss Water) are sometimes shipped to your house unassembled. An assembly charge of $40 will be added if assembly is required.

Easy Estimate

For those who do not have any existing water softener piping, our Easy Estimate is for you. With our Easy Estimate we come out to your home, take a look around, and ask a couple of questions. 95% of the time you will have your exact (to the penny) estimate and a complete understanding of the work involved within 10 minutes after our arrival. 

-We do not have a sales presentation. We're a service company, we're not selling timeshares.

-We do not require all deciding parties to be present for estimate. We would however like at least one person present that can answer questions on placement and etc.

      -We do not require any decisions at the time of estimate and the price quoted will not be raised "if you don't act today". 

New Installation pricing: 

New installation pricing varies because all houses are different. A basic New Install is $275.00. This involves the main waterline, an applicable drain, and an electrical outlet all being within 10' of the location where the softener is to be installed. Charges increase with the difficulty and length of the job generally not exceeding $650.00.

$650.00 being a "worse case scenerio" where many hours of labor and hundreds of feet of pipe are needed to install softener in customers chosen location.

   Salt/Check-up Service Plan:

Plan includes once a month check-up and salt refill (up to 3/4 full or 120lbs. max.). Check-up includes any needed maintenence and repair (does not include parts). 3 Plans available: 3-month: $105, 6-month: $180, and a full year $300.

Piping Clean-up: 

 If you've had a softener installed and you don't like the work that was done. Maybe you have leaks, or the installation isn't very "pretty" or maybe you'd just like your softener moved somewhere else. We can take care of that! Contact us for details!

Other Services

Whole house filtration: Whole house filters can be installed in line with your softener from $75 to $150 (Installation price, Filter extra). Filter changes are $49 + filters.

Reverse Osmosis/ Undersink Filtration: Installation is available however, for units with a seperate faucet, designated hole in sink must be provided. Basic install is $150. Filter changes are $49 + filters.
